F Fe merupakan mikromineral yang dibutuhkan bagi tubuh untuk pembentukan haemoglobin, transport oksigen, imunokompetensi, pertumbuhan pada anak dan perkembangan neurobehavioral. Pada beberapa penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa defisiensi Fe berhubungan dengan kognitif, dimana anak dengan defisiensi Fe mendapatkan kognitif yang rendah. Untuk mewujudkan pencapaian kognitif rata-rata maupun diatas rata-rata, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara defisiensi Fe dengan kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik dengan desain potong lintang yang mengikutsertakan 79 siswa kelas V dan VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 Cikarang Utara. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara pengambilan darah sebanyak 1-3 cc untuk mengukur serum iron dan tes IQ berdasarkan CFIT untuk mengukur kognitif. Analisis data dengan menggunakan SPSS 18 dan tingkat kemaknaan yang digunakan sebesar 0,05. Sebanyak 6,3% siswa mengalami defisiensi Fe, serta 93,7 % siswa dengan kadar Fe normal. Uji analisis chi square menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara defisiensi Fe dan kognitif (p=0,648 , r=0,065) tidak bermakna pada siswa kelas V dan VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 Cikarang Utara. Dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara defisiensi Fe dengan kognitif pada anak kelas V dan VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 Cikarang Utara.

To realize the average cognitive achievement above and above the average, it is necessary to do research that aims to determine the relationship between iron deficiency with cognitive. This study used an analytical method with a cross-sectional design which included 79 students of class V and VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 North Cikarang. Data was collected by taking 1-3 cc of blood to measure serum iron and CFIT based IQ tests to measure cognitive. Data analysis using SPSS 18 and the significance level used was 0.05. 6.3% of students experience iron deficiency, and 93.7% of students with normal Fe levels. Chi square analysis showed that the relationship between Fe and cognitive deficiency (p = 0.648, r = 0.065) was not significant for students in grades V and VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 North Cikarang. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between cognitive deficiency in children in grades V and VI SDN Mekar Harja 04 North Cikarang.
