A Analisis Risiko paparan H2S Terhadap Kesehatan Pekerja Di PT Kaltim Prima Coal dilakukan pada area coal mining. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bahaya dan menganalisis risiko faktor lingkungan kerja yang mencakup pencemar udara, dan kebisingan. Identifikasi bahaya dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan di lapangan dan wawancara. Sedangkan dalam menganalisis risiko faktor lingkungan dilakukan menggunakan metode kuesioner dan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi logistik dengan jumlah responden 140 karyawan dari populasi karyawan yang bekerja di area coal mining. Hasil identifikasi bahaya yang dapat menimbulkan risiko tinggi di coal mining adalah paparan dri gas H2S yang diakibatkan proses dari pembakaran batu bara dan adanya area penyimpanan batu bara yang disebut stockpile. Batu bara yang berada di area penyimpanan tersebut terbakar karena suhu yang panas dan menimbulkan gas H2S di area coal mining. Selain paparan gas H2S proses yang terjadi di stockpile menimbulkan kebisingan di area kerja coal mining sehingga PT. Kaltim Prima Coal perlu memperhatikan H2S dan kebisingan untuk menjaga kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja selama bekerja. Dari hasil identifikasi potensi bahaya di area kerja coal mining dapat diamati faktor-fakor yang paling dominan berisiko terhadap gangguan kesehatan pekerja adalah paparan H2S dan paparan kebisingan. Dari paparan H2S variabel yang berhubungan dengan gejala sesak nafas adalah variabel umur (P = 0,006), sedangkan dari paparan kebisingan variabel yang berhubungan dengan gejala sakit kepala adalah variabel masa kerja (P = 0,011). Pada analisis hubungan pekerja terhadap paparan H2S didapatkan bahwa Faktor tingkat H2S tidak berhubungan dengan keluhan pusing maupun sesak nafas pada pekerja. Faktor yang berhubungan spesifik adalah faktor lamanya masa kerja terhadap keluhan sesak nafas (OR =2,061), dan faktor tidak menggunakan APD terhadap keluhan pusing (OR =3,484). Faktor tingkat konsentrasi kebisingan tidak berhubungan dengan keluhan pusing, darah tinggi, dan cepat lelah. Faktor yang berhubungan berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi logistik adalah faktor tidak menggunakan APD terhadap keluhan pusing (OR =3,484) dan kurang pendengaran (OR = 2,077)

The aim of this study is to identify and to analyse risk factors in the working field which includes air and noise pollution. Risk identification in done by doing some observation in the field and interviews. While the environmental risk factors are analysed by using questionnaries method and then using the logistic regression method with the amount of 140 employees from overall employees population working at the coal mining and around area. The result of risk identification that can cause high risk in coal mining area is the H2S gas exposure from the coal combustion process in the power plants unit and the coal storage area. Coals inside the storage area are combusted in a very high temperature and produce H2S gas in the surrounding area. Besides the H2S gas exposure, the power plants process in the surrounding coal yard working area causes noise pollution, therefore workers who work in that area should pay attention on both of those things while working in order to maintain their health and safety issues. From the result of the identification of risk potential in the coal mining working area can be observed that the most dominant factors with high risks towards the instability health of the workers are the H2S gas and noise exposure, where the analysis result From H2S exposure variables associated with symptoms of shortness of breath is the variable age ( P = 0.006 ) , while from noise exposure variables associated with headache symptoms is variable working period ( P = 0.011 ). The analysis of the relationship between workers and H2S exposure explains that there is no relation between the H2S level factors and the complaints of dizziness and shortness breath on workers. Factors that are related specifically are the length of working hours factor towards shortness breath complaint (OR =2,061), and the factor of not using APD towards the complaints of dizziness (OR = 3,484). The analysis of the relationship between workers and noise exposure explains that the noise concentraition level factor doesn’t have any relation with dizziness, high blood pressure, and fatigue complaints, although it relates with the hearing loss complaints on workers (p = 0,001). Factors that are related based on the result of logistic regression analysis are the factor of noise toward hearing loss (OR = 3,136) and the factor of not using APD towards dizziness (OR = 3,484) and hearing loss complaints (OR = 2,077).
