B Background: Lips is the transitional area from the oral mucosa to skin that is anatomically located more prominently and frequently exposed to different factors that are susceptible to the disease. This can interfere with speaking and esthetical functions that might lessen one's confidence. Objective: To determine the frequency distribution of the lesions on the lips by sex and age of the patients who visited the Dental Hospital Faculty of Dentistry Trisakti University from June 2014 to September 2018. Method: Descriptive observational study using medical records of patients at Dental Hospital Faculty of Dentistry Trisakti University from June 2014 to September 2018. Results: The frequency distribution of the lesions on the lips based on sex is more common in women (57%) than men (43%). The number of lesions on the lips found is 6 out of 10 lesions studied, which are granules Fordyce (12:05%), herpes labialis (27.11%), angular cheilitis (45.78%), cheilitis glandularis (0.6%), exfoliative cheilitis (7.83%), contact cheilitis (6.63%). Whereas granulomatous cheilitis, angioedema, actinic cheilitis and squamous cell carcinoma are not found in this study. Conclusion: Lesion on the mouth most commonly found in this study is angular cheilitis (45.78%). Based on age, the lesions are most commonly found at age 26-45 years (37%) and least discovered at age 0-4 years (1%).
