P Permasalahan dalam operasi pemboran suatu sumur, bisa terjadi bermacam-macam masalah yang bisa diakibatkan oleh faktor alami ataupun faktor kesalahan mekanis pada saat operasi pemboran. Salah satu masalah yang terjadi pada operasi pemboran adalah terjepitnya rangkaian pipa bor. Terjepitnya rangkaian pipa bor akan menghambat penyelesaian sumur yang akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya waktu dan biaya pemboran dari yang telah direncanakan. Pada saat terjadinya pipa terjepit segala usaha untuk melepaskan harus dilakukan secara cepat.Berdasarkan data analisis dan upaya yang dilakukan, masalah pipa terjepit terjadi dikarenakan adanya faktor formasi dan faktor sifat lumpur. Oleh karena itu diperlukan penanggulangan dengan metode-metode yang sesuai sehingga masalah pipa terjepit dapat segera ditanggulangi. Analisis penyebab terjadinya pipa terjepit pada sumur X-ST lapangan Z menggunakan penggabungan antara indikasi yang ada ketika terjadinya pipa terjepit yaitu faktor formasi dan perbedaan tekanan. Hal tersebut dapat dijadikan bahan untuk menganalisa penyebab terjadinya permasalahan pipa terjepit pada sumur X-ST lapangan Z. Dari indikasi pipa terjepit yang terjadi pada sumur X-ST, dapat dianalisa penyebab terjadinya pipa terjepit tersebut. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara mengkorelasikan antara teori dengan data aktual yang terjadi di lapangan.Masalah pipa terjepit pada sumur X-ST terjadi pada trayek 17-½” dan trayek 6” dengan dua kedalaman berbeda yaitu pada kedalaman 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD dan 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD. Pada kedalaman 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD terjadi terjepitnya rangkaian pipa pemboran sehingga rangkaian tidak dapat di naik turunkan, mengalami kenaikan terhadap torsi pemboran, tekanan pompa normal dan sirkulasi berjalan dengan normal. Dan pada kedalaman 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD rangkaian terjepit pada saat POOH (pull out of hole) dan ditemukan pack off sehingga menyebabkan rangkaian pemboran terjepit. Dari data yang telah di observasi, jenis pipa terjepit pada trayek 17-½” adalah differential pipe sticking dan pada trayek 6” adalah mechanical pipe sticking. Pipa terjepit pada kedalaman 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD dan 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD berawal dari formasi yang ditembus yaitu formasi Ngrayong dan formasi Tuban yang terdapat batuan karbonat dengan sisipan clay. Setelah mengetahui penyebab terjadinya pipa terjepit maka direncanakan usaha pelepasan pipa terjepit dengan menggunakan metode-metode yang tepat hingga dilakukannya pengeboran sidetracking

One of the problems that occur in drilling operations is the pinch of a series of drill pipes. Pinch in the series of drill pipes will hamper the completion of wells which will result in increased drilling time and costs than planned. At the time of the pinched pipe all efforts to release must be done quickly.Based on the analysis data and the efforts made, the problem of pinched pipes occurs due to the formation factor and sludge factor. Therefore, countermeasures are needed with appropriate methods so that the problem of pinched pipes can be overcome immediately. Analysis of the causes of pinched pipes in well X-ST field Z using a combination of indications that occur when a pinched pipe is a formation factor and pressure difference. This can be used as material to analyze the causes of pinched pipe problems in well X-ST field Z. From indications of pinched pipes that occur in X-ST wells, it can be analyzed the causes of pinched pipes. The analysis is done by correlating the theory with the actual data that occurs in the field.The problem of pinched pipes in X-ST wells occurs on routes 17-½ "and routes 6" with two different depths namely at a depth of 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD and 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD. At a depth of 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD there was a squeeze of a series of drilling pipes so that the circuit could not be raised and lowered, experiencing an increase in drilling torque, normal pump pressure and normal running circulation. And at a depth of 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD the circuit was squeezed when POOH (pull out of hole) and found the pack off causing the drilling circuit to be pinched. From the data that has been observed, the type of pipe pinched on a 17-½ "route is differential pipe sticking and on route 6" is mechanical pipe sticking. The pinched pipe at a depth of 3430 ftMD / 3044 ftTVD and 7552 ftMD / 6093 ftTVD started from the formation that was penetrated, namely the Ngrayong formation and the Tuban formation which contained carbonate rocks with clay inserts. After knowing the cause of the pinched pipe, the planned effort to release the pinched pipe using the appropriate methods until the sidetracking drilling is done.
