Inovasi disain penutup mesin (Cover Engine) pada sepeda motor kategori tipe cruiser motor x dengan metode VDI 2221
A Artikel ini membahas inovasi desain cover engine pada sepeda motor type cruiser dengan menggunakan metode VDI 2221. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengembangkan desain yang tidak hanya meningkatkan estetika tetapi juga fungsi dari cover engine tersebut. Metode VDI 2221 dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam sistematisasi proses desain, yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan konsep, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain baru tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan performa mesin tetapi juga memberikan perlindungan yang lebih baik terhadap komponen internal dari gangguan serangan eksternal (faktor luar). Selain itu, artikel ini juga membahas kelemahan yang mungkin terjadi jika cover engine tidak ada, serta dampaknya terhadap performa dan keamanan sepeda motor kategori tipe cruiser motor x.
T This article discusses the innovation of engine cover design on cruiser type motorcycles using the VDI 2221 method. The main focus of this study is to identify and develop a design that not only improves the aesthetics but also the function of the engine cover. The VDI 2221 method was chosen because of its ability to systematize the design process, which includes needs analysis, concept development, and evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the new design is not only able to improve engine performance but also provides better protection against internal components from external attacks (external factors). In addition, this article also discusses the weaknesses that may occur if the engine cover is not there, as well as its impact on the performance and safety of cruiser type motorcycles.
