A Abstrakindustri kelapa sawit memiliki peran krusial dalam perekonomian global, namun jugaberpotensi menimbulkan dampak lingkungan yang signifikan. penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengidentifikasi mekanisme dan dampak lingkungan dari produksi cpomenggunakan pendekatan life cycle assessment (lca) dengan sistem cradle to gate.data primer diperoleh dari pt xyz melalui sistem enablon dan pengukuran lapangan.fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis mekanisme dan dampaklingkungan serta menghubungkannya dengan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan.hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tahap plantation tm merupakan kontributorterbesar terhadap berbagai dampak lingkungan di pt xyz plant 1 dan pt xyz plant2, terutama pada kategori gwp100, odp, ep, ap, adpf, adpe, htp, hct, wc,luc, dan ced. dampak terbesar ini terkait erat dengan penggunaan pupuk dalamproses pemupukan, meskipun perusahaan telah mengikuti prinsip 4t dan memberikanpelatihan penanganan bahan kimia kepada pekerja. untuk mengurangi dampaklingkungan, disarankan untuk menggantikan penggunaan pupuk kimia dengan energidan material alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan dan efisien. penelitian inimemberikan wawasan penting mengenai kinerja lingkungan industri kelapa sawit sertakontribusi lca dalam meningkatkan efisiensi biaya dan keberlanjutan lingkungandalam rantai pasokan minyak sawit.keywords: life cycle assessment; cpo; sustainable development goals.
A Abstractthe palm oil industry plays a crucial role in the global economy, but it also has thepotential to cause significant environmental impacts. this study aims to identify theenvironmental impacts of cpo production using a life cycle assessment (lca)approach with a cradle to gate system. primary data were obtained from pt xyzthrough the enablon system and field measurements. the main focus of this study is toanalyze the mechanism and impacts on environment with lca and relate it to thesustainable development goals. the results of the analysis show that the plantationtm stage is the largest contributor to various environmental impacts at both pt xyzplant 1 and pt xyz plant 2, particularly in the categories of gwp100, odp, ep, ap,adpf, adpe, htp, hct, wc, luc, and ced. the major impact is closely related tothe use of fertilizers in the fertilization process, even though the company has adheredto the 4t principles and provided chemical handling training for workers. to reducethe environmental impact, it is recommended to replace chemical fertilizers with moreenvironmentally friendly and efficient alternative energy and materials. this studyprovides valuable insights into the environmental performance of the palm oil industryand the contribution of lca in improving cost efficiency and environmentalsustainability in the palm oil supply chain.keywords: life cycle assessment; cpo; sustainable development goals.
